Itinerary (5 days cycling)
Day 1: Arrival
Individual arrival to Tampere, tour info and bike
rental + fitting (also possible on day 2). Finland’s
second-largest vibrant city is located between two
stunning lakes. We highly recommend spending a
night or two here before you start your cycle tour.
Day 2: Tampere City tour + Lempäälä (54km)
Our tour starts with a gentle city loop along the
lakeside bike paths and the Pispala Ridge where you
can admire the beautiful view to the lakes around
Tampere before heading south to Lempäälä where you stay overnight at Vaihmalanhovi, a lovely old style country house.
Day 3: Lempäälä-Valkeakoski-Hämeenlinna
+ boat (55km)
Today´s cycling route follows the waterways to
Hämeenlinna, one of the oldest towns in Finland
and a well-preserved medieval fortress. The day
also includes a boat trip along the picturesque Lake
Vanajavesi.
Day 4: Hämeenlinna Round Trip (40-45km)

Take a break from cycling or join the round trip
that takes you across the most beautiful parts of
Hämeenlinna and its surroundings
Day 5: Hämeenlinna-Riihimäki-Hyvinkää
(65km)
Quiet winding roads lead you through the region’s
distinctive countryside. Make a stop at Riihimäki
and visit the Finnish Glass Museum to discover the
works and craftsmanship of our famous artists and
designers.
Day 6: Train + Järvenpää-Vantaa-Helsinki
(59km). Without the train + 25km
The last leg of our journey begins at Lake
Tuusulanjärvi. The locals represent the “who’s who”
of Finnish culture and heritage, including the worldfamous composer Jean Sibelius. Nice cycle paths
through the parks along the Vantaa river lead you to
the centre of Helsinki.
Day 7: Time to explore and enjoy beautiful
Helsinki. How about a visit to Unesco world heritage site Suomenlinna. This fortifided island was built to protect Helsinki during the swedish rule some 250 years ago is today a very popular tourist attaction and offers a lovely view to Helsinki from the sea.
Day 8: Individual departure or additional
nights in Helsinki.
