Itinerary, (3 days cycling)
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival to Turku, tour info and bike rental + fitting.
Day 2: Turku-Parainen-Nauvo Island (58km)
Start of the tour takes you riding through the most
beautiful parts of Turku city area and further to lush
nature of Archipelago. Enjoy the lunch in the seaside
town Parainen and visit the viewpoint of it´s famous
limestone pit.
Day 3: Nauvo and Seili Island-Naantali (36km)
Feel the beauty of the sea. Today´s stage starts with
a ferry ride to small Seili island. The fragile natural
beauty of the island is protected in many ways. Seili
Island has also a gloomier past. For more than 300
years until as late as 1962 this remote island was the
place where lepers and mentally ill were expelled
and treated. Once you get in the saddle again you
ride thru the green island of Rymättylä to Naantali.
This beatiful seaside town is one of the oldest and
most visited in Finland and summer residence of the
president of Finland.
Day 4: Naantali – Ruissalo – Turku (46km)
The last stage leads towards island of Ruissalo
with its unique natural beauty and lush vegetation
seen nowhere else in Finland. Ride the short ferry
connection to the neigbouring island of Hirvensalo.
Quiet country roads of the island don´t give even a
hint of the nearby vibrant city. Our tour ends to banks
of Aura River the mainstream of Turku full of life.
Day 5: Individual departure or additional
nights in Turku
